Text, design and graphics by Martin Fisher, with thanks to Andy Cameron, Cella Carr, Emma Muench, Jessica Haskell, Julia Hochbach, Lizzie Duthie, Maria Luisa de Castro Fisher and Marianne Carter for advice on design and related matters, Álvaro Fernández-Llamazares, Bill Adams, Brendan Fisher, Brettt Wilson, Damien Fourcy, Daniel Edwards, David Roberts, E.J. Milner-Gulland, John Robinson, Kent Redford, Liana Chua, Miloslav Petrtýl and Stuart Paterson for useful comments, the helpful members of the QGIS and Veusz mailing lists, and the participants of the Writing for Conservation workshops held in Brazil, Cambodia, Colombia, Finland, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Liberia, Mauritius, Philippines and the UK for sharing their concerns, experiences and hopes, and, of course, their writing and their graphics.

Writing for Conservation was prepared using the msmbstyle package for bookdown, in the Assistant font. The layout is inspired by Tufte styling, which uses a wide right margin for sidenotes, captions, and small figures and tables, facilitating the tight integration of graphics, tables and text.
