Simon Pooley

Simon Pooley is Lambert Lecturer in Environment (Applied Herpetology) at Birkbeck University of London, where he lectures on environmental management and global nature conservation in the Geography Department. Raised in nature reserves in northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, his research focuses on human-wildlife conflicts and coexistence. Simon is a member of the IUCN Crocodile Specialist Group, and the IUCN Task Force on Human Wildlife Conflict.
