Monique Borgerhoff Mulder is Distinguished Professor (emerita) at University of California at Davis; she also works with the Max Planck Institute of Evolutionary Anthropology (Leipzig, Germany) and Savannas Forever Tanzania (Arusha, Tanzania). She has conducted anthropological research for many years in Tanzania, with interests in demography, inequality, cooperation and health. Coordinating the interests of government officials, intervention partners and scientists over conservation issues is her current challenge.
