ORYX has been published by Fauna & Flora International since 1903. An individual subscription to Oryx includes membership of Fauna & Flora International. This means that you not only receive Oryx but join the like-minded people from over 120 countries who have committed to helping FFI save threatened species and habitats around the world. Membership includes the FFI Update newsletter three times per year and the annual magazine Fauna & Flora. For more details and to join, see the FFI Membership page.

Read a free issue

If you would like to read a copy of Oryx before deciding whether to take out a personal subscription through FFI membership, the most recent January issue is always freely available online. The April 2003 issue, which is a celebratory centenary issue containing a series of review articles that remain of great interest, is also freely available online. If you would like to receive a recent sample copy of Oryx, please contact us.

Institutional subscriptions

Institutional subsciptions to Oryx, in online + print or online only formats, are available from Cambridge University Press. For further information see here. To recommend Oryx to your Librarian, use this form.

In developing countries

Oryx and Cambridge University Press work with international schemes to improve the reach and accessibility of journal content to countries that would otherwise be unable to benefit from such a resource. This means that institutions in developing countries or countries with emerging economies are eligible to access many hundreds of journals, including Oryx, for free or for a reduced price. Research4life is the collective name for four programmes that provide developing countries with free or low cost access to academic and professional peer-reviewed content online. To find out how to register and which institutions are already registered, and to check eligibility criteria and to register, see the links here.

Obtaining back volumes

Copies of most back volumes and issues of Oryx are available, and are priced individually. For further details and prices, contact us.
