Workshop for Conservation Leadership Programme in Rio de Janeiro imageCan a scientific journal be more than just a journal? We believe it is especially important to reach out to young conservationists even before they put pen to paper, so to speak, to write their first scientific article. We regularly participate in programmes such as the annual University of Cambridge Student Conference on Conservation Science, which has hosted 1,400 delegates from 102 countries since 2000, and the Conservation Leadership Programme, and have collaborated with the Tropical Biology Association in East Africa.

In particular, the Editorial Office offers tutorials and workshops on scientific writing for conservation—anything from a few hours to several days in the classroom to work through the sometimes gruelling process of turning great conservation research into a first class scientific manuscript ready for peer review.
